 The Department of Ethics Education aims to help students develop a deep understanding of the theory and practices of moral education. It also aims to help students acquire the practical skills necessary for effective moral teaching in the elementary school classroom. To this end, students study Eastern and Western traditions of ethical thoughts, moral education programs, issues on Reunification between North and South Korea, effective models of teaching in the classroom, and evaluation of both the student's moral development and the program's effectiveness.

 The Department of Korean Language Education aims to develop competent Korean language teachers by helping students understand and acquire teaching skills and learning strategies for the whole area of Korean language including speaking, listening, reading and writing.

 The goal of the Department of Social Studies Education is to introduce students to the theories of social studies education, and develop students' practical teaching skills so they can take charge of social studies education at their particular school. The department also encourages students to engage in social sciences research in an effort to increase their insight into various social phenomena.

 The Department of Mathematics Education aims to produce elementary school teachers with both a comprehensive knowledge of basic mathematical theories and practical understanding of mathematical education theories. The curriculum, therefore, focuses on international research trends in mathematical education, instructional methods, and the mathematical applications of instructional technology.

 The goal of the Department of Science Education is to increase students' understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles that are essential to elementary science education by providing a curriculum that covers aspects of physics, chemistry, biology and earth science.

 The Department of Physical Education aims to help students develop an understanding of the basic theories of physical education as well as the practical skills that need to be competent elementary physical education teachers.

 The Department of Music Education aims to nurture elementary school teachers who can understand the value and importance of music education, and who have practical techniques and teaching skills required for music instruction. For this goal, students take private lessons in vocal, instrumental and Korean traditional instrumental music, and learn about music theory, teaching materials and teaching/learning mathods in order to enhance their abilities in the general area of music education.

 The Department of Art Education aims to help students understand the various theories of art education and develop the practical skills necessary for teaching visual art, sculpture, painting, design, print making, calligraphy and plastic art.

 The Department of Practical Arts Education aims to extend students' basic knowledge and understanding of practical arts theory and technology. Furthermore, it strives to develop students' expressive ability and cultivate teachers capable of delivering courses in unique environmental areas such as industrial living, home econmics, agricultural life science and computer utility. To this end, the department emphasizes a teaching-learning approach that is based on the principle of work-orientated education to achieve educational objectives.

 The primary aim of the Department of Education is to help students advance theoretical and practical knowledge about education with a view of training them as competent classroom teachers. The department also aims to develop new theories and techniques in the field of elementary education.

 The goal of Department of English Education is to produce highly qualified teachers who will play a leading role in schools and communities. The department offers courses designed to improve students' English competence, especially in the areas essential for teaching English to children. Additionally, it develops and provides quality programs to assist students in learning current English teaching methods and techniques. It also strives to broaden students' cultural understanding of, and sensitivity to, English speaking communities.

 The goal of the Department of Computer Education is to equip students with the professional knowledge and computer teaching methords and develop qualified elementary school computer teachers capable of solving problems related to computer education.
