 The Elementary Ethics Education Major program aims to accomplish the following: (1) to help elementary school teachers make great strides in their respective studies on moral education ; (2) to produce competent teachers who will champion the cause of moral education£» (3) to improve the practice of moral education in elementary schools. Students are expected to analyze scientifically the ethical problems of our society and see, through a moral lens. how every moral virtue taught in the classroom affects all phases of school life. Students are also expected to learn how to investigate problems that arise in the field of elementary education.

 The Elementary Korean Education Major program aims to improve the Korean Language teachers' professional development. The curriculum, therefore, requires graduate students to systematically examine goals, elementary Korean language teaching methods, textbook utilization, and evaluation principles by analyzing the skills involved in using the Korean language and the theory of Korean linguistics and literature.

 The Elementary Social Studies Education Major program strives to produce specialist with good social analytical skills and sound moral character. To achieve this goal effectively, the curriculum requires graduate students to fully utilize the existing theoretical background on Social Studies, teaching and learning methods, textbook analysis, and evaluation principles employed in actual teaching situations.

 The Elementary Mathematics Education Major program aims to enhance in-service teachers'knowledge of elementary school mathematics, cultivate their ability to conduct research, and develop their professional qualifications. It also seeks to familiarize students with elementary instructional methods and advancements in the mathematical applications of instructional technology.

 The Elementary Science Education Major program aims to strengthen the foundation of the scientific community by increasing students' ability to play a leading role in elementary science education and cultivating their character as highly educated people.

 The Elementary Physical Education Major program strives to help graduate students develop their ability to conduct research in elementary physical education. Students are required to study pedagogical courses focusing on elementary physical education. Students also take, as eletives, philosophical and scientific content oriented courses.

 The goal of the Elementary Music Education Major program is to train up professionals in elementary music education, who have professional knowledge for music instruction, and who can use efficient music teaching/learning methods. This program is focused on the practical and academic studies of the whole music Education area, including Foundations & Principles in Music Education, Curriculum & Evaluation in Music Education, Psychology in Music Education, Teaching Materials in Music Education, Research in Music Education and Choral/instrumental Pedagogies in Western/Korean Music.

 The Elementary Art Education Major program aims to help graduate students learn and investigate theories and teaching methods in art education and to develop their ability to implement their knowledge of such theories and methods successfully.

 The Practical Arts-Environmental program strives to help graduate students gain advanced knowledge of theory and increase their ability to conduct research in areas related to practical arts-environmental education. It also aims to reinforce students' ability to apply their knowledge in the elementary school classroom by cultivating educators capable of creating a living environment related to daily life and practical arts education.  To this end, graduate students take core and elective courses such as industrial living, home econmics, agricultural life science, computer utility, career counseling and general studies.

 The Elementary English Education Major program aims to promote the specialty  of elementary English education. The curriculum requires graduate students to intensively investigate theoretical background, teaching methodology, textbook analysis, and evaluation principles, and to develop a research-oriented attitude. It also requires them to improve their communicative competence in English, and to broaden their understanding of the culture in English-speaking societies.

 The goal of the Elementary Computer Education Major program is to help graduate students become qualified experts on computer teaching and further develop their ability to take a leading role in elementary computer education.

 The curriculum helps students to investigate professional knowledge and teaching methods in computer education as well as improve their ability to conduct  research in the field.

 The Elementary Counselor Education Major program aims to cultivate the basic qualities necessary for child counselling and produce highly competent specialist by helping students master the theories and practices of child counselling.

The curriculum requires students to do intensive studies in the psychology of child development, counselling and guidance, and psychological testing.

 The goal of the Program in Elementary Special Education Major is to produce specialists who have both a vast knowledge of the significance, principles, contents and methods associated with exceptionality and special education and the ability to successfully implement that knowledge in the classroom. The curriculum of the program covers exceptional children, children with mental retardation, giftedness, special learning disabilties, emotional or behavioral disorders, hearing impairment, visual impairment, communication disorders, physical disavilities, and multi-handicapped children.

 The Early Childhood Education Major program aims to cultivate the professional knowledge and qualities necessary for Early Childhood Educators, while improving their ability to conduct research in their specific field.

 The program also requires students to engage in intensive studies in child development, curriculum, parent education, and play theory.

 The Curriculum and Instruction Major program aims to help students to develop perspecitives and critical views about education based on educational philosophy, psychology, and sociology and to gain advanced knowledge and research ability related to elementary school curriculum and instruction.  Graduate students as education experts will be able to develop and implement curriculum and to improve instruction by applying educational media and understanding of extra-curricular programs and integrated curriculum, In addition, students can develop practical strategies of evaluation and supervision, and abilities to conduct action research in the area of curriculum and instruction.

 The Elementary Educational Administration and Policy Studies Major program aims to increase educational leaders, educational administrators and classroom managers' professional knowledge and administrative skills, and improve their ability to conduct research in their specific field. The curriculum focuses on the knowledge and skills essential for the effective administration and policy analysis of schools and classrooms in regional, national and international contexts.
